Abdul Abdullah was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1986. He graduated in 2008 from Curtin University and now works and lives in Melbourne, Victoria. In 2009 Abdul received the Highly Commended in the NYSPP at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra and was named a Perth Rising Star by Insite Magazine.

"Painting is the best thing in the world. There is nothing I enjoy more. When I'm painting the room could be on fire and I wouldn't care. I don't know if my works will ever affect people or change anyone, but I'll do it anyway, for the rest of my life.
